# Font credits and licenses

Acquired September 9, 2026. These font-only SIL Open Font License 1.1 grants do
not license the rest of this repository. Files are redistributed unchanged;
there is no local conversion/subsetting pipeline or runtime font-provider request.

## Space Grotesk

`SpaceGrotesk-Latin.woff2` is the unmodified Google Fonts v22 Latin variable
WOFF2 selected by the family's official CSS API for weights 500, 600, 700:

The same upstream file serves all three weights; local CSS declares 500–700.
Latin coverage includes English, common punctuation and the site's heading/card
text. Other scripts use system fallback. No reserved font name is specified in
the supplied Space Grotesk license.

## IBM Plex Sans

IBM's own unmodified static WOFF2 subsets, pinned to
[IBM/plex revision bf260093582f04622aacc1e9f9ca604d7ccd0c42](https://github.com/IBM/plex/tree/bf260093582f04622aacc1e9f9ca604d7ccd0c42/packages/plex-sans/fonts/split/woff2).
Files retain upstream names. Each download URL is that revision's
`packages/plex-sans/fonts/split/woff2/<filename>` on `raw.githubusercontent.com/IBM/plex/`.
The license is from the same revision's `packages/plex-sans/LICENSE.txt`.

Regular (400), Medium (500), SemiBold (600): Latin1 covers English/Western
European text and punctuation; Pi supplies arrows and symbols. Pi Unicode ranges
in the site CSS come from IBM's matching subset CSS. Browser downloads are
on-demand. Monospace commands/controls retain the existing system font stack.
These official split files avoid making a derivative under the reserved name.
Do not modify/subset them under “Plex” without resolving the name restriction.

## Redistribution and maintenance

OFL 1.1 permits use (including commercial use), embedding and bundled
redistribution/modification subject to its terms: retain copyright and full
license, keep fonts under OFL, do not sell fonts alone, respect reserved names,
and do not imply endorsement. The font license does not apply to documents
created using them. Publish this credit page and both full notices with the fonts.

Before updating, verify official provenance and terms again, preserve required
notices, check all required glyphs/weights and readable fallback, and rerun local
font/rendering/CLS checks. New languages may require more upstream subsets; do
not assume Latin covers them. Do not claim byte-identical versions to the
historical Google Fonts baseline: IBM files are from its pinned upstream release.
